ZENEDA®️ Hair Extensions: The Science of the Blowave, Blowdry and Blowout

What I want to talk about today is how important it is for our clients to have the most amazing hair all the time. From the service where we install our hair extensions, cut style and blend them in, we want to make sure that they are perfectly fitted.

Although it’s always amazing to have clients come in for their weekly blow waves, we also want them to have the ability to style their hair at home themselves.

SCIENCE

One thing about blow drying is the science behind it and how important it is not only to take care of their natural hair (obviously their extensions as well), but also to maintain a style that actually lasts.

The perfect blowave always comes down to preparation: what hairdryer is used, ensuring that the right nozzle is used and the right power, ensuring that you’re using the right products, and washing hair correctly. So many factors missed can affect the result so it’s important to get every step right!

Crucial to getting the right results sits in the drying process.

As we know in professional hairdressing, all blow dries start from 90% dry after a fresh wash and treatment, or a fresh wash and condition. Stretching the hair out is so important, and there are two ways to do that.

In the salon, you have all the tools to be able to perform the perfect blow dry, ensuring the ends are smooth, and if they want volume, you’ve got the volume in there as well.

Using heat styling tools for curls, or adding brushes in for bouncy blow waves, ensure to use your expertise and versatility to create the perfect shine and perfect result.

When they are at home, we want them to be able to style their hair as well with the ability to create a perfect blow dry, not only so that their natural hair is taken care of, but also because we want them to look and feel great all the time.

TIPS AND TRICKS

Here are some tips and tricks you can share with your client so they can achieve most beautiful results every time.

I’m loving the technology behind the Bondi Boost hair styling brush. It’s got the heat, it’s got the brush, and can create the shine and stretch that clients would need.

This brush is super versatile! It can be used on their hair as a refresh, or they can do their whole blow wave with lasting results ( less washing, less heat and perfect results that last )

I do not love using these styling tools on their hair when it’s wet. I absolutely stick by the 90 to 10% drying ratio. With this formula they will still need to use a hairdryer or allow their hair to naturally try to 90% before they begin using the styler.

Using a stretching brush and using something that has the technology already built in is going to not only make their life much easier, but also give them the best possible result so they can achieve any style they want themselves at home.
